Job Title: Email Marketing Executive
As an Email Marketing Executive with Portobello Institute, the purpose of your role is to improve our current CRM strategy. We have lots of content and we want to offer you the opportunity to design and implement email campaigns that will engage our audiences and create the desire to want to know more. You will have a passion for analysing the data, what worked, how should we segment our audiences and what should we do more of to engage them. You will keep the content on our website up to date, ensuring it reflects accurately our brand using content generated from within the marketing team.
You will be part of a small yet growing marketing team. Your voice will contribute to the design and development of the digital marketing strategy, the execution of key marketing initiatives and brand activation activities. The successful output of your role will lead to increased brand awareness among our target markets and engagement by industry and thought leaders in our sectors. The focus of this role is to drive brand awareness, positioning Portobello Institute as a credible and reputable higher education institute to new and existing audiences.
Your role is to engage our audiences – put the right message in front of the right person at the right time – this will require you to understand who our students are and why they should choose Portobello Institute. You are a self-starter who enjoys a fast-paced environment during seasonal highs and uses the seasonal lows to analyse past activity to improve for the next season. You have a passion for email marketing, enjoy analysing data to find the trends, opportunities and insights.
You are innovative and creative, you have a good eye for a headline! You are a “people person” who will enjoy interacting with our students and staff to create content that is engaging for our audiences. You will work to deliver email marketing campaigns aligned to our brand values, solidifying our position as the educator of choice within our sector. You will work closely with our Admissions Team to maximise the market opportunities.
This is a full-time role and we are working to a hybrid model at this time. The right candidate will be keen to come on on-site each week or as when needed.
Job Description
We are looking for an email marketing executive to build and engage our audiences, contributing to our growth strategy. You will be committed to high-performance, creative excellence and ambitious for yourself and the company you choose.
You will have a strong understanding of marketing and brand activation campaigns across email marketing platforms - we use Hubspot. You have a high level of creativity, strong interpersonal skills, the ability to analyse and track data, with attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to and working with the Marketing Manager to develop an email marketing strategy.
Building and engage our audiences by designing and producing creative email campaigns. Ensure emails are optimised for deliverability and mobile responsiveness.
Assist with planning and delivery of comprehensive marketing plan that will incorporate your email marketing campaigns, within agreed timescales and budgets.
Support and maintain the content on our website, adapting and updating content for relevance and using this to build email marketing campaigns.
Work with key internal specialists, academic teams and digital content writers, to develop and produce quality content for newsletters and email marketing.
Work with third party digital and media agencies, to deliver briefs on time.
Collaborate with the programme and admissions management teams on the marketing of programmes to maximise awareness and enrolments, providing and contributing to analysis afterwards.
Report using evidence and data to analyse performance.

Recommended to have:
Email marketing experience for 2+ years a must.
Salary offered will be based on experience - range of €32,000 - €38,000
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree preferred.
High proficiency and understanding of digital and traditional marketing.
Graphic design skills with strong visual sense and experience producing engaging visual content.
Experience working with Hubspot, website CMS, SEO, and a good understanding of digital analytics.
Experience of creating monthly metrics reports on website and email marketing performance.
Excellent written and verbal command of English.
Knowledge of Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Indesign (etc) a distinct advantage.
